Virginia Elizabeth (Lowry) Boyd passed away November 5, 2016. She was born August 3, 1927 in Alderson, WV. and was the daughter of the late William Melvin Lowry and Cleo Norma Keadle Lowry.
Virginia was an involved member of her community of Talcott, WV for over 60 years and worked as a reading tutor. After moving to South Carolina to be near her grandchildren, she was an active member of Spring Valley Baptist Church on Polo Road.
Survivors are her loving husband of 69 years, Richard Wyant Boyd; Sons: Richard William Boyd of Princeton, WV and Dr. Robert Boyd of Columbia, SC; Grandchildren, William Scott Boyd of Eden, NC, Joshua Eric Boyd of New York City, NY, Carmen Renee Boyd of Pittsburgh, PA, Patrick Seth Boyd of Boston, MA and Great Grandchildren, Sophie and Isabella.
A funeral service for Virginia will be held at 1:00 pm Monday November 7, 2016 in the chapel of Kornegay & Moseley with Dr. Robert Winburn officiating. Burial will be follow the service at Greenhaven Memorial Park.
