Joseph Szumski Jr., 66, passed away on October 14, 2015 in Blythewood, South Carolina.
Joseph is survived by his son Russell Szumski, daughter Dawn (Michael) Szumski-Chiauzzi, brother John Szumski, sister Deborah (David) Gillie and his loving nieces, friends and extended family. Joseph was a loving father, brother, uncle and friend to all.
Joseph was a US Army War Veteran and a retired North Carolina State Trooper, who loved and served both his country and community with dedication, pride and honor. He enjoyed sports, particularly his years of playing baseball and football during his childhood years in Brooklyn NY.
