I am so sorry for your Lost Lillian and Family. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this trying time. David was a good friend to me in the past. I remember all the times we had together paying OHell together. Good times.
I also remember going out to lunch together many a time while we worked at PMS in Blythewood.

My thoughts and prayers are with David's wife, children, parents, Mike and Larry and his dear friends. I attended all years of school with David and we sang with special friends/brothers/sisters for years in the Kings Kids gospel group. David had a great sense of humor and was always so kind. I don't ever recall a harsh word from him. When we were having problems in our lives he would always shrug his shoulders and say "Oh well, it will all be alright." We treasure those years serving the Lord with these friends in the Kings Kids and now to think David is with our Lord and King. Our deepest sympathy, Wes and Patti (Slagle) Mattie

Words can't express what David meant to me. We met in 3rd grade and were best friends all through school and beyond. He was my brother to me. David loved Weather, Motorcycles, Christmas, Comedy movies, UK, His home town of Harlan, KY, The Harlan Boys Choir, I could go on and on. He loved his wife and called her Miss Lillian. She made his life complete. He loved his kids and never stopped bragging on them. David was forever positive. My wife's sister put it well. "There was no bad in David". He was human, made human mistakes, but he was always noticing the humorous side of life. He loved his Lord, and his Church, he never stopped bragging on his Church. He loved his co-workers as well. What a loss to all of us who knew him. Just another reason to go to heaven, so we can see him again, and give the rest of the folks some relief from his stories. In his memory, I will try to laugh more, love deeper, and not take the next day for granted. I love you David. Rodney

It is with great sadness that I heard of David's passing. While he had already moved away from Harlan when I came to the Christian Church, I knew his family well. My life is richer for having known him, and I am thankful that we had a chance to visit once again just last May. My heart goes out to all of his remaining family. May God's grace and peace and strength guide your difficult days ahead.
Blessings,
