Henry Clifton Moore,  August 26, 1942 to March 5, 2017, loving husband of “Betty” Harriet Moore. Father of Henry Edward Moore (Donna), Melissa Moore Bliss (Patrick), “Grandpop” to Jordan Bliss and Ally Moore; nephew of Majorie Fusci and Mildred Brown; brother of Deloris Sanders Mungo (Stewart); son of the late Dorothy Sanders and H. C. Moore; stepson to W. T. “Bill” Sanders; brother-in-law to Henry Moseley and had many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles who loved getting together for family reunions. He has family in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina, who he thought the world of, and they of him.

Co-owner of the Joe Henry Co., Inc., along with Joseph Chambers (Eloise) and employees that were as close as family. We can’t say enough good things about his caring customers.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon prior to the funeral at Kornegay & Moseley, 4645 Hard Scrabble Road, Columbia, SC 29229. Funeral services will be held at St. Peters Catholic Church, 1529 Assembly Street at 2:00 PM, Thursday March 9, 2017. Celebration of Mass will be conducted by Father Gary Linsky. A reception following the service will be held in the fellowship hall. He went to elementary school at St. Peters, graduated from Columbia High School and the University of South Carolina. He loved Carolina football and those tailgate parties and followed the Gamecocks in every sport.

He was proud of his Uncle Dom Fusci, who was in SC Athletic Hall of Fame. He loved watching sports and Fox and Friends on TV. We had many days of fun on Lake Murray with family and friends. He was a man of God who loved his children and grandaughters. Henry and his wife were so fortunate to have so many wonderful caring Christian lasting friendships kept over many years.

The family would like to thank them for all the visits and prayers at home and at the hospital during his illness over the past three years.

Thank you Dr. Philip Baldwin at SCOA for your compassion and Dr. Ben Wright, his Radiologist. Also, the nurses, techs and physical therapist at Palmetto Richland for making us feel at home during his many stays. We can’t forget caregivers, Shirley, Ivy, Kiki, Anne, Regina and Clara.

Pallbearers will be the salesmen of the Joe Henry Co., Inc. Burial will be private for family at Greenlawn Memorial Park following the reception.
