My deepest condolences to the Cartwright Family.

Jo was an angel here on earth and fought a very hard battle. I know Jo will be blessed with Superior Angel Wings in heaven, since she was such an angle here on earth. And all that she knew and loved have gained a guardian angel.

Let her live daily in your lives by speaking of her happy and fond memories.

Sending hugs and prayers to Jim and the rest of the family.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Jo's in their loss of this sweet lady. I will always remember Jo and her sweet smile and beautiful heart. She always had something positive to say and was a joy to be around. Although I haven't seen Jo or Judy since graduation, they both have always been a happy memory of mine from high school.

Jo had one of the sweetest spirits of anyone I have known. I was so blessed to have reconnected with her several times throughout the past years. I knew both Jo and Jimmy thorough Springdale Baptist, as well as through junior high and high school. Jo always thought of others and their needs before her own. Jo loved with all her heart - especially God, her family and friends. She was such a determined warrior and fought such a courageous battle. Jo, our dear friend will be missed by all. My thoughts and prayers go out to Jimmy and her entire family.

We were greatly saddened by the news of Jo’s passing. Her strength and determination in confronting her illness with great dignity speaks volumes of her character. Jo was a great friend: sincere, kind and understanding. I will so miss the wonderful, long and frequent phone conversations we have had over the last 20 years. Jo was a true friend with whom one could share thoughts about everything and anything. She always spoke proudly and lovingly about her family, especially her grandchildren. We send our sincerest, heartfelt condolences to Jim, Jeffrey and Aubrey, Jill and Jon, Jo’s sister, Judy, and their families. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

The sun rests in the sky...hesitating
to set.
Above orange light, lighter blue dotted with white.
Below the glow is sky, bue, gray.
The round flame lowers heavenly tinting the clouds,
the clouds holding hands...around the sun...,yet
gently let go...........Bye Jo........

Jimmy & Family,
We celebrate the life of Jo Cartwright, a dear friend, a blessing of joy, tenderly loving, with a very sweet gentle spirit. Her heart loved as Christ loves. Her Texas strength and fortitude was an inspiration to all.
In the desert a fountain is springing,
In the wide waste there still is a tree,
And a bird in the solitude singing,
Which speaks to my spirit of thee.

When we were children at Springdale Baptist Church, I can remember Jo's beautiful sweet face. I remember she was always kind. She had a good sense of humor. I can remember us giggling about something silly when we were teenagers. After Youth Choir practice we would go across the street to the drug store for a cherry Dr. Peppers at the soda fountain.
I am thankful that we reconnected on Facebook 16 months ago. Jo was the bravest person I know. She never complained but was quick to point out how other people had done kind things for her.
Jo's love for her family was second only to her love for our Heavenly Father. Her quiet strength and endurance came from God.
I love you, Jo.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. The death of a loved one is one of the most devastating experiences a human can face. At times, the loss can seem unbearable. The Bible promises; "God is near to the brokenhearted." It also says: "Throw your burden on God and he will sustain you." (Psalm 34;18 and 55:22) I hope this message will help you cope with the loss of your loved one.

Jo is suffering no longer. I lost the best friend a person could ever ask for. She loved her family the most and I am so privileged to have been her friend. We lived in Italy together and made memories shopping in Venice, shopping at the nearby leather, gold jewelry, and ceramic factories. We would have great dinners with our husbands and other friends at the local pizzerias. Those were the days!! But at the end of the day, it all came down to our families and our love for them. May she rest in peace with Our Lord.
