Gwendolyn Sharon (Courtney) Drake

Gwendolyn Sharon Courtney-Drake passed through Heaven's Door on October 4, 2016.  Her soul is now at peace with the Lord.   Within this wonderful lady there was a kind, giving heart with a tender, gentle spirit.  She was a dedicated and loving mother, sister, aunt, daughter and friend.  She will always and forever be truly loved and sincerely missed from this day forth throughout eternity.

No words can describe the sacrifices she made for the well being of others.  She was truly one of God's special Blessings.  She touched everyone that knew her with her generosity and compassion. 

Today she runs through the fields of happiness, one hand holding her mama's and the other hand holding her son's.  See, all three are smiling with great joy and peace as they are now in the presence of Jesus.  This is NOT the end, only the beginning.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children:

Christina Marie and son-in-law Zac, Ashley Rose, Skylar James, Anna Elizabeth; her sister, Susan Ann; her niece, Sherri Ann; and her father, William B. Courtney; and other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Robert Conant and her spouse James Drake.

She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church, where her heart found great solace in the fellowship and praising of the Lord.  Her pastor, Dr. Dennis Letts will conduct the service.  All family and friends are welcome.
