I had the honor of serving with Gordon as his pilot flying as Apache 6-Xray. He was the best commander I ever served under, A fierce warrior but also a gentleman and loving husband and father. He was a mentor and role model for me. I will miss him. He will always be in out heart.

While I am saddened to learn that you’re mourning the loss of your beloved Gordon, it saddens God even more. No doubt, you have many fond memories which will resurface from time to time. And because you do have memories, certainly shows that almighty God has memories as well. Therefore, with full confidence you can take comfort in knowing that he longs to restore perfect life to all those in his memory (Job 14:13-15). Please accept my condolences at this most distressing time.

Jeanie, Jayne, Joanie, & Jon,

May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the Lord make his face to shine upon you,
and be gracious to you.
May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you,
and give you peace.

We are sustained by the Blessed reunion of Gordon and Sofie. Their steadfast love for one another and unwavering faith has made this so. Hug all of the grandchildren for us. They were the light of both of their lives.

Our visit with your parents in June of 2014 will always hold special memories for us. The Myrtle Beach T-Shirts waiting on our beds, your Mom (with much pride) giving us the rundown on her kids and grandkids, taking us for a drive along the beach, taking us out for a nice Italian dinner, Your Dad, letting Kaitlyn drive us around in the golf cart, sharing Dos Equis with lime and salt with your Dad in the evenings. It was a true joy to see their love for each other in action!
