Sadly, the loss of a loved one to death is a truly, painful experience. However, according to the Bible, our wonderful God Jehovah offers comfort to us during all times (2 Corinthians 1:3,4). He has also given us hope in the form of the resurrection. John 5:28,29 says, "all in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". This gives us hope that one day our dead loved ones will be brought back to life. Please find comfort in these words and scriptures during this time of bereavement.

I wanted to reach out to you during this sad time to offer my condolences.
While nothing will completely take away your grief, by meditating on God's promises found in the Bible you can find real hope and the strength to keep going. I have found the scripture at Isaiah 25:8 to be especially comforting. Here it promises that God "will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces".

Bernie is in a better place. Having visited him many times after he was placed in care he remained the opinionated Boston sports fan he was when I first met him. My last visit with Judy and Faye to celebrate his birthday was unforgettable. Rest In Peace.
