Ruth Ann Reiber, 63, of Elgin, SC, passed away in her home on July 1, 2022, surrounded by family, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Ruth was born to Shirley and the late Ralph Ellingsen Sr. on Nov. 14, 1958, in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. She attended Spring Valley High School, and went on to work for John Deere for over 20 years before retiring. She then opened her own business, Paperdolls Painting & Wallpaper. Where she served the SC midlands for over 15 years; only retiring after her health began to decline.
Ruth had a true passion for painting, singing, spending time with her family and friends, and living her life to the fullest. She left her mark on all who knew her and she is deeply missed.
Ruth is preceded in death by her father, Ralph Ellingsen Sr. She leaves behind a loving and devoted husband, Donald Reiber Jr., her mother, Shirley Ellingsen, sister, Lori Pinner (Rick), brother, Ralph Ellingsen Jr. (Sherry), daughter, Amy Townsend (Max), son, Timothy Rondeau, step daughter, Beth Reiber (Chris), and step son, Reese Reiber (Andrew). In addition she left 12 grandchildren. Gabrielle, Kaitlyn, Dallas, Austin N., Gavin, Brayden, Landon, Brinley, Michael, Austin W., Brianna, Tristin, and 1 great grandchild, Emilyrose Ruth (due 7/17/22). She also has countless nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family who feel the loss of Ruth profoundly.
Visitation will be held on Thursday July 7, from 6PM-8PM @ Kornegay & Moseley Funeral Home, located at 4645 Hardscrabble Rd. Columbia, SC 20229.
Funeral services will be held Friday July 8 @ 10 AM, at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, located at 4170 Percival Rd. Columbia, SC 29229.
A “Celebration of Life” will follow the funeral from 11 AM - 2 PM @ Hope Baptist Church, located at 2117 Clemson Rd. Columbia, SC 29229.
