Obituary

Robert “Bob” Grady Mauney transcended into eternity to be with his Lord Jesus on February 22, 2021.  Bob was born on June 2, 1932 in Chicopee,  Georgia. He was a 1951 graduate of Leesburg (Florida) High School.  He married his beloved Cecilia  Scarborough in 1953.  Bob served in the US Air Force and then attended and graduated from both the University of Florida and the University of Georgia. He dedicated his life to public service and served as the county administrator of Richland County as well as Maricopa County, Arizona and numerous other positions on city and county government. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecilia  and his son Robert, Jr.  He is survived by his daughters Nell Mauney of Columbia and Martha Fulkerson of Elgin. additionally three grandsons and one granddaughter,  five great grandsons and his devoted dog little girl.  Donations/gifts can be made to the American Heart Association.
