A memorial Mass will be held for Randy Allen Roush on Monday, August 17, 2020 at 12 noon it will be celebrated at Transfiguration Catholic Church with Reverend Monsignor James LeBlanc officiating.
He was born in Middlesex, England to Richard and Donna Roush on December 17, 1964. Randy spent his childhood in England, Japan, Dover Delaware and Andrews Air Force Base. The family moved to Wichita Kansas. Randy entered the US Army at the age of 17. He served two tours in Germany at Fort seal, Fort Riley, Fort Jackson and Fort Stewart, Georgia. After a 24 year career in the army he retired in 2006. The family moved back to their home in Columbia, SC
After retirement from the army, Randy served as a volunteer firefighter for the city of Columbia South Carolina. He was hired as a full-time firefighter for Lexington County. After leaving Lexington County he worked in long-haul trucking industry.
Randy was preceded in death by his father Richard. His mother Donna resides in Georgia. He is survived by his wife of 35 years Linda. They had two children Renee (Jose) Soler and Jamie Roush.
He is survived by two sisters Tammy (Mike) Griffitt and Cheryl Adkins. Randy loved his three grandchildren and enjoy spending time with them. They are Olivia Roush, Emma Roush Jose Soler III. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews: Austin Taylor, Jordan Griffitt, Tyler Hysom, Autumn Adkins, Jared Adkins, Riley Adkins and Jaden Adkins.
He will be dearly missed and was cared for by those who came to know him through work or through friendships. He had an interest in the Ignational studies and with span spare time contemplating their importance in his life.
