Missionary Dora Bailey

Missionary Dora Bailey was born March 5, 1935 in Lexington Georgia to the late Hugh and Carrie Glenn.

She dedicated her life to Christ at an early age. Putting the needs of others before her own was a defining trait of Missionary Bailey. She gave her all to take care for others until the day she died. 

Missionary Bailey passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021 in Columbia, South Carolina. 

She devoted her life serving God and helping others, becoming a foster parent to several children. She leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, an abundance of spiritual family members. She leaves four children she raised alongside her late husband Julius Bailey.

She also leaves her 36-year-old adopted son, Marquis, whom she's loved and cared for since age seven after he survived a hit and run car accident, that left him wheelchair bound and unable to speak. 

In early 2021, she moved to Columbia South Carolina to be closer to family. 

She will be missed for her powerful prayers, her great zeal for life and her mission to do God's work.
