Martha Anne Boseski

Martha Anne Boseski died on July 21 at Agape Hospice House in Lexington, SC. She was born in Charleston, the only child of Edward and Mary Boseski. Survivors include her oldest and most trusted friend, Kristina Krusmark of Homewood, Alabama. 

Martha Anne was an honor graduate of Ashley Hall School and Phi Beta Kappa at the University of South Carolina. She was fortunate to have studied at a variety of institutions, including the American Academy in Rome, Harvard University, Université Laval (Quebec) and the University of Georgia. She taught 35 years in South Carolina, from the mountains to the sea. She continued to tutor in her retirement and worked with students from PreK to college level.

Always fearless in seeking knowledge, Martha Anne was compassionate in her care for others and beloved by her many pets. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Columbia, SC, where she served faithfully on the lay eucharistic visitor team.

Her funeral will be held graveside at Christ Church Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant, at 10am on Saturday, August 5th. The Rev. Dr. James Fraser Lyon IV will officiate.

Martha Anne’s friends and family wish to extend great thanks to Agape Hospice for the care and love shown to Martha Anne in her last weeks. Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
