Louise Middleton Obituary

Only God knew that she was getting weary so He did what He thought was best. He came and stood beside her and whispered, “Come Home and Rest.”

Louise Nesbitt Middleton was born to the late Hattie and Frank Nesbitt on February 15, 1936 in Cordesville, South Carolina. She departed this life on February 17, 2019 at the Palmetto Baptist Hospital, Columbia, South Carolina.

She attended the public schools of Berkley and Charleston counties. She later relocated to Queens, New York and was employed with New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center for twenty-one years. Upon retirement, Louise made Columbia, South Carolina her home and became an active member of Rehoboth Baptist Church.

She was united in holy wedlock to the late Mr. Samuel Maurice Middleton. Through this union, they were gifted with one son, Shanon D. Middleton.

She was preceded in death by a son, Frederick Nesbitt, five sisters, and two brothers.

She leaves to cherish fond memories: one son, Shanon D. Middleton of San Antonio, Texas; two daughters-in-law, Winzella Nesbitt of Fort Worth, Texas and Belinda Michelle Middleton of San Antonio, Texas; three sisters, Frances Richardson, Hattie Nichols, and Vivian Gadsden all of Harlem, New York; one brother, Wilbert Nesbitt of Charleston, South Carolina; twobrothers-in-law, Vern Dukes of Bronx, New York and Nathan Gadsden of Harlem, New York; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She shared an indelible bond with her neighbors in both South Carolina and New York.
