Linnard Taylor was born in Columbia, SC. November 12,1938 to the late Johnny & Rose Lee Taylor.
Linnard attended and graduated from Bethel High School in 1957. He continued his education at Benedict College from 1958 – 1961, graduating with a BS in Chemistry.
After graduation, Linnard join the Airforce from 1961 - 1965. In 1963, while in the Airforce, he attended St. Mary 's University in San Antonio, Texas graduating with a master’s in chemistry.
In 1966, Linnard join the Center for Disease Control as a Research Chemist specializing in the study of Lipid research preparing reference samples for clinical chemistry division. While at the CDC, Linnard earn many awards and accolades. He patents a multitude of books relating to Lipid research and Triglyceride Levels in Cardiovascular Research until he retired in 1989.
After establishing residency in Atlanta Ga, he met the love of his life and united in holy matrimony July 31, 1967 to his wife Marion Taylor (who precedes him in death) for 21 years until her death on November 4, 1988. One child was born to this union (Anita Taylor).
Linnard had a love for western movies THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN, SHANE and GUN SMOKE, just to name a few.
Linnard is one of five children having 2 sisters and 2 brothers whom all proceeds him in death. Minnie Lee Kenner, Johnny Taylor, Theodore Taylor and Thelma Martin.
Linnard departed this life on Thursday, October 22, 2020 and leaves to cherish his memory, a loving and devoted daughter Anita Taylor, a devoted nephew/son George Kennedy, two sister in laws Ms. Irene Hunter of Columbia, SC., Ms. Edith McKnight of Columbia, SC., one brother in law Mr. Eddie Kennedy of Columbia, SC., friend/sister Debra Austin NC., dear friends Oliver & Barnett Parks Decatur, Ga., three very dear and devoted coworkers/friends Mrs. Theodosia Prater, Mrs. Charlene Griffin, Mrs. Mary Robinson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
