Joyce Lydell DeSpain

Joyce Lydell DeSpain of Columbia, SC, peacefully passed away Wednesday evening, December 15, 2021. Joyce was born in Plainview, Texas and was the daughter of the late Troy and Trudy Thurman. She was the widow of late Charles S. DeSpain. Joyce retired after 37 years of service with the Federal Aviation Administration and had been a resident for 8 years of NHC, Parklane due to complications of Alzheimer’s and pneumonia. 
 

Joyce is survived by her children, Carl Anthony (Linda) DeSpain, Andrea Trudy Greer, and Shawn Andre (Darlene) DeSpain. She is also survived by her sisters,  Norma Myers and Monya Jackson as well as her five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
