Debra “Jeannie” Richards
Jeannie Richards age 66, a loving wife, mother, Gigi, sister, aunt, and friend to all, passed away in the early hours of April 20th, after a courageous battle. She was born Debra Jean Lee to Louis and Doris Lee on May 30, 1955, in Columbia,SC. She grew up surrounded by her large close-knit family. In 1988 Jeannie married her husband Richard, they continued to dance to their song “When a man loves a woman “for 34 years, they enjoyed riding their Harley Davidson motor cycle, and watching Gamecock football. In 1997 they were blessed with their only son Jacobs Richards. Her most proud accomplishment in life was being a wonderful mother and Gigi.
Jeannie was a Hair stylist for 25+ years, she always enjoyed making everyone feel beautiful. There was no problem a little lipstick or “stick” as she called it, couldn’t solve.
Jeannie was a member of Covenant Community Fellowship Church, her strong Christian faith and love for the Lord never faltered even in hard times. Jeannie was a confidant for many, and was there for anyone who needed her. She was loved by everyone for her charismatic, bold, and fun loving personality.
She was predeceased by her father James Louis lee sr., her mother Doris Jacobs Lee, and 2 brothers Johnny and JL Lee. She is survived by her husband Richard Richards, Son Jacob Richards(Ashley), grandson Rhyder Richards, her best friend and sister Anita Lee, brother Ricky Lee, brother Billy Lee (Linda), sister Pamela Lee, sister Donna Lee , nieces close to her heart Angel Odom, Jessica Mosier, Candace Lee, her little Avalicious and nephew she loved as a son James Lee and many more wonderful nieces and nephews.
Jeannie will be Lovingly remembered and forever missed!
