Obituary

Helen C. Monfalcone passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday July 25, 2020. 
The family will receive friends on Thursday July 30, 2020 from 6pm to 8pm at Kornegay & Moseley Funeral Home located at 4645 Hard Scrabble Rd., Columbia, SC.  A private family service has been scheduled for Friday afternoon.
Helen was born at home in Wilmington, California. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Trampus and Katie Kirchner Trampus.  
Helen is survived by her loving children, Belinda Portnall (Steve), Lori Hubaty (Keith), Cindy Druga (Larry), her grandchildren, Katie Portnall (Chris Zambounis), Stephanie Portnall, Miranda Druga, Camden Druga and Sierra Hubaty.  Her brother, Joseph Trampus from California and brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Linda Monfalcone from Virginia. Many nieces and nephews and lastly her Furrybaby Benji.   She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Monfalcone. 
Helen started her working career in the dental field.  After her children were born, she transitioned into the medical field.  Later she worked for the California Shipyards located on Terminal Island, California until her retirement.
Helen enjoyed her many trips with her girls and the Woodward family to Palm Springs, Colorado River and Mexico just to name a few.  She enjoyed the numerous beach days as well.
Helen will always be famously known for her three daughters flawless pigtails and white oxford school shoes with taps, polished nightly!   
Helen will be forever loved and missed by her children and grandchildren, her beloved dog, extended family and life long friends.
