Frances (Fran) Kinman King, 72, of Columbia, SC died Saturday March 13, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Clinton, NC she was the daughter of Clarence Wendell KInman, Jr. and Retha Denton Kinman.
Fran graduated from Walterboro High School in 1966 and received a Diploma in Nursing from The Macon Hospital School of Nursing In 1969. After several years of working in Georgia she relocated to Columbia. While in Columbia she furthered her education at the University of South Carolina, earning both Bachelor and Masters degrees in Nursing. She spent the remainder of her 42 year career working in various leadership positions at what is now Prisma Health, retiring in 2011 as Director of Clinical Effectiveness.
In addition to her parents Fran is predeceased by brothers Clarence W. Kinman, III and Lenwood Cole Kinman. Survivors include daughters Rebecca Kleckley Jones and Heather King Dapolite (Chris); grandchildren Tyler Jones, Tess Jones, and Olivia Dapolite; Uncle James W. Kinman (Kristin); cousins and many dear friends.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 4:00 pm Tuesday March 16, 2021 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 3:00pm at the church. Please use COVID-19 precautions by wearing Masks and limiting participants, etc. related to Coronavirus. Burial will be held at a later date in NC.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Growing Together in Faith Campaign
