Charles E. Moore

Dr. Charles E. Moore of Columbia, South Carolina peacefully left this life to be with the Lord on March 28, 2021 at Dorn VA Hospital.  He was born on August 29, 1946 in Blytheville, Arkansas, to Carrie and Clemmon Moore.

Charles wore many hats as he fulfilled his purpose on the earth. He served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army, 101st Airborne Division; and was a Vietnam Veteran, Charles served his community as a Pastor and Counselor, a Small Business Owner, and a Non-Profit CEO. He was a loving husband, father, beloved “Papa”, lover of people serving as a spiritual father to many, and finally a Giver.

Charles devoted much of his time to the church, family, and friends.  He enjoyed ministering and praying for people, spending time with his grandchildren, going to restaurants and wearing sharp suits.  His hobbies were reading, traveling, and maintaining the yard.

Charles is survived by his wife Sarah. H. Moore, daughter Kimberly (Tony) Rogers, his son, Emmanuel Moore, daughter Dejoris Tucker, his grandchildren: Noah, Mikala, Jordyn, Cristiana, and Joshua Josiah Rogers; his brother William (Dorothy) Moore, a sister, Jacqueline Simmons and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 2, 2021 at 10:30 AM, at NorthStar Christian Center, located at 711 Longtown Rd, Columbia, South Carolina, 29229.

Please wear masks throughout the service and practice social distancing.  A public viewing will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2021 from 6-7 PM.  Due to Covid guidelines there will be no formal visitation before or after the services.
