Obituary
Donald H. Kelly, Sr. went to his Heavenly home on Sunday, April 23, 2023. He was born December 18, 1942 in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Leonard and Edith Kelly. He was a cold war patriot as an employee of the Savannah River Site in Aiken, South Carolina. He was a member of Spring Valley Baptist Church. He enjoyed The Masters and all Clemson Tiger sports.
He is survived by his children Allyson Kelly-Horton (Mike), Don Kelly (Teri), Beth Cogan (Andy) and 6 grandchildren. Special appreciation to Dr. Julian Reese III and the nursing staff of the MUSC downtown ICU for their heroic efforts and loving concern. His children would like to thank Jerry and Edwina Gardner and caregivers Kimberly Smokes and Stephanie Florezfor their loving care. The graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at 2:00 at Centerville Cemetery with The Reverend Kenneth Sandifer and The Reverend BlakeJenkins officiating. The family will receive friends following service and at the residence of Allyson Kelly-Horton until 7. Memorials may be made to Spring Valley Baptist Children’s Ministry.
