David Alan Ham

David Alan Ham said “later” on December 26, 2020 after his battle with cancer and a life of putting up with his wife and three kids. Born September 11, 1956, he is the son of Kenneth and Adrienne Ham of Wollaston, MA. He is preceded by his father and survived by his mother.

David was a graduate of Northeastern University in Mechanical Engineering where he met his wife and the two started a life of nerdy bilingual-ness together. He was a beloved husband and father, always providing appropriate, or inappropriate humor at the perfect time to make his children and family laugh. His cow jokes will live on in infamy.

David is survived by his wife of 40 years, Gloria Maria Ham, of Columbia, SC; his son and daughter-in-law, David and Lauren Ham (Micah) and granddaughters Keira and Emilia Ham of Bluffton, SC; his daughters Gloria Ham of Spartanburg, SC and Alejandra Ham of Fort Myers, FL; his brothers Wayne Ham of Weymouth, MA and Gary Ham of Andover, MA. 

The family will receive friends and family at Kornegay & Moseley Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 30 from 12:00-2:00 PMfollowed by a memorial service in his name at 3:00 PM. Masks will be required, and Pink Floyd will be played. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, the Make-A-Wish Foundation or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

David and his family wish everyone a “Feliz Ano” as we close out this year.

A David le sobreviven su esposa de 40 años de matrimonio, Gloria Maria (Contreras) Ham, de Columbia, SC (originalmente de Venezuela); su hijo y nuera, David y Lauren Ham (Micah) y sus nietas Keira y Emilia Ham de Bluffton, SC; sus hijas Gloria Ham de Spartanburg, SC y Alejandra Ham de Fort Myers, FL; sus hermanos Wayne Ham de Weymouth, MA y Gary Ham de Andover, MA.

La familia recibirá a amigos y familiares en la funeraria Kornegay & Mosely el miércoles 30 de diciembre de 12:00 a 2:00 p.m. seguido de un servicio conmemorativo en su nombre a las 3:00 p.m. Se requerirán máscaras y se tocará Pink Floyd. En lugar de flores, la familia pide que se hagan contribuciones a la Sociedad Estadounidense del Cáncer, la Fundación Make-A-Wish o el Hospital Infantil St. Jude.
