Cynthia A. Huggins

Cynthia A. Huggins was born on April 27, 1955 and passed away on April 8, 2021 just 19 days shy of her 66th birthday from covid-19 complications. She was born in Riverside, California later moving to Polk County Florida where she was a resident for over 20 years. She worked in the Education field and was also an employee for the transportation department with the Polk County School Board. She later moved to Elgin, South Carolina where she was a stay at home Grandma, homeschooling many of her grandchildren and was awarded parent of the month award. She was Grandma to many. She was a kind, gentle, caring, and loving person at heart and only wanted peace love and joy within her family. She was preceded in death by father Bill Whitford (Margaret), mother Anne Hicks, brother Robert Whitford and is survived by Destiny, Arturo, Julian, and Zayden Morales, her pop Cleveland Hicks (Becki), sons Jason McGeathy, Raymond Krell, and Christopher Huggins, Daughter Sandra Rodriguez (Chino) Sisters Cathy Lynn, Debbie Sims (Buck) Brother Cleve Hicks Jr. (Sherry) 12 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. If we have learned anything from  the life of Cindy Huggins it would be to have a kind gentle loving spirit dismissing all anger and to live the rest of our days in peace love and joy. Funeral services will be held at the Kornegay & Moseley funeral home in Columbia, SC on April 24th , 2021. Viewing will be 1-4 p.m.service to follow.
