Bennie “Chip” Lee Hayes, Jr.

Bennie Lee “Chip” Hayes, Jr., 61 of Eastover, SC, husband of Lana McCurdy Hayes, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018. He was born February 26, 1957 in Buffalo, New York to the late Bennie Lee Hayes, Sr. and Grace Virginia Cauthen.
    Chip is survived by his wife Lana McCurdy Hayes; daughters Brandi Hayes of Camden, SC, Hayley Hayes of Cassatt, SC, and Faith Hayes of the home; step-children Rachel Donahue of Hopkins, SC and Micky Donahue (Brittany) of Hopkins, SC; six grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; brother Roger Hayes (Christy) of Conway, SC; sister Debby Hayes of Camden, SC; and father-in-law Fred McCurdy (Beth) of Lexington, SC.
    A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday June 9, 2018 in the chapel of Kornegay & Moseley at 4645 Hardscrabble Rd., Columbia, SC 29229. In leiu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be made to Kornegay & Moseley Funeral home to cover funeral expenses. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
