Richard Graham Miner, 76, passed away at his home on Monday, February 18th in Columbia, South Carolina. Richard was born in Gary, Indiana October 18, 1942 to Fred and Clarissa Miner. Richard is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sheryl (Wever), his son Jonathan and daughter in-law Anne. He graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in Automotive Engineering and worked as a program manager for Ford, Subaru and BMW for more than 40 years. Verizon Wireless brought him to Columbia.
Richard was a longtime member of the Acacia Masonic Lodge #94 and was formerly associated with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. His joy was working at numerous sporting events at U.S.C. He was an Amateur Radio enthusiast and loved boating. Richard was a loving husband, father, and friend to all.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, Shriners Hospital for Children or South Carolina Oncology Associates.
