Red had a great understanding of real estate as well as tax preparation. It was great to have someone smart and quick discuss the ins and outs of owning real estate. When I would complain at tax season Red would say "Surely...with ALL of that rent money you've set aside a portion to pay the IRS"--ie no sympathy. I enjoyed our last conversations some time back and he spoke about getting things in order--I thought how logical he is...I will miss his larger than life personality and his guidance.

Please accept our condolences for Norman.Happened to read it in State while in Columbia over the weekend. Red was in my (and my wife's) class of 1960 at North Augusta. He was a great guy, and we remember him well. I have conveyed his passing in a group email to our class. With sadness,Rob Graybill

Tax time is always a stressful time, but every April (and sometimes at other times of the year) I visited Red to get my taxes done. I might be stressed out when I walked in, but his friendly manner, usually joking with me about the tax man coming for me, eased my stress and I always left with a smile on my face, even when I owed the IRS money. Red was one of the "good guys" and I am glad I got a chance to speak with him in April although he was too sick to do my taxes. I will miss him every April and he will be missed by a lot of people he helped over the years.

Sorry for the loss of your loved one. John 5:28, 29 assures Jesus will restore life to those who has died. Revelation 21:3, 4 gives further assurance death will be swallowed up forever. This is a comforting thought knowing your loved one is in God's memory. Hope this brings comfort.

Please accept my condolences during this time of distress. While it is indeed sad that you are mourning the loss of your dear Norman, it saddens God more. In the days ahead, you will reflect on seemingly small, yet precious memories. This happens when we experience the loss of someone loved. However, take comfort in knowing that just as you have memories, almighty God remembers too. The difference is, God can and will restore perfect life to those in His memory as explained in the faith strengthening video *
