I had just met Michael at the Friends Meeting House and we discussed gardens. I asked if he would be willing to help with my yard and he agreed. The morning he collapsed he was here, pruning and advising. He was supposed to come Wendesday the 13th but didn't return my email asking if he were coming. On readiing the paper I learned why and was shocked and saddened. He was a friendly, generous, and gentle spirit. My heartfelt wishes go to his family, chosen and of origin. I will also miss him.

Michael was a bright light in the darkness of reactionary and ignorant forces all around him. Far ahead of his time in his advocacy of renewable energy and sustainable resources, he worked his causes with enthusiasm and good cheer, always good cheer. I always liked to see him around town and check in. He will be missed by many, individuals and the community as a whole. John Monk

🌼How sad it is that you are mourning the loss of your dear Michael. Please accept my condolences. Certainly, this is a very painful period. However, take comfort in knowing that God is aware of your pain. Therefore, he will indeed act to forever remedy the despair as expressed in the faith strengthening video link below. ======================================================🖥 https://vimeo.com/233808431

While words fail to capture the pain of losing a loved one, we look forward to the time when words will fail to capture the joy of having our heavenly Father return your dear one to you. "Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; he saves those who are crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18,19

We live very near the Rosewood Community Orchard Michael saved and we've interacted with Michael many times. We met some of his family at the eclipse party Michael hosted at the Orchard; we stopped and chatted for a while, with our dog.

Michael's physical presence at the Orchard is gone; the loss is greatest to his family and to Priscilla. But his wonderful spirit will always be at the Orchard, with us, and especially with his loved ones.

Michael was a man of peace, a man of courage, a man of character. Peace be with you, our friend, and may grief be replaced by peace to the people he loved.

My deepest sympathy to you and your family for the loss of your dear Michael.  The bible makes this comforting promise, "God is close to the brokenhearted." Please know that God feels your pain and has a provision for us in the form of the resurrection.  Have faith and trust in God that your loved one will be resurrected (John 6:40).

I am still stunned at the loss of Michael. He was my valued friend and colleague in years of working for community involvement and environmental justice. I loved his exceptional mind and his big heart.
With deepest sympathy,
