Dear Sherri,
I don't know if we have yet met. I am the new Congregational Care minister at Northeast. This is my initial response in this position to any member at Northeast, and it is a privilege to rejoice with you and your family, even in your sincere sadness, over your Dad's homegoing to be with the Lord. Your parents' church is where my wife Linda and I were married. I know you are especially thankful to have a Christian Dad who served Christ and His church, his nation, and your Mother and family, so faithfully. Your memories of him and your homelife, I trust, are precious and endearing. Thank you for your testimony to the Ladies on Saturday, even under emotional strain. They surely listened more clearly to the evidences of a Savior's love which you presented. God bless your faithfulness to our Lord and His Word, as you honored the memory of your Dad by sharing the power of his and your Master and Friend. May the service tomorrow minister to your heart and bring praise to the God who gives us our parents. I look forward to meeting you and your family.
