Alexander Baker Obituary

A family gathering for Alexander Carl Baker, 75, of Elgin will be held Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Kornegay & Moseley from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to a charity of ones choice.

Mr. Baker passed away Saturday April 21, 2018. He was born in Waukegan, Illinois and was the son of the late Alex Carl Baker, Sr. And Edith Rose Woyak Baker. Mr. Baker retired from the US Army and then worked at the Fort Jackson golf course as the maintenance supervisor.

Mr. Baker is survived by his wife of Marguerite Baker; children, Joseph (Dawn) Baker, Thomas Matthews and Helen Matthews; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; sister, Camille Kotney; brother and sister in law, Harvey and Pat McCumber; special friends, Irv and Annie Seagar and Paul and Shirley Bergeron.
