Richard “Butch” H. Dixon

A graveside service to celebrate the life of Richard H. “Butch” Dixon will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday January 26, 2021 at Fort Jackson National Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday January 25, 2021 at Kornegay & Moseley, 4645 Hard Scrabble Road, Columbia SC 29229. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the VFW Post 11079, Elgin, SC 29045.
Butch passed away Wednesday January 20, 2021. He was born in Columbia and was son of the late George and Inez Dial Dixon. Butch was a US Air Force veteran and was a member of the VFW, the IBEW local 382 for 33 years and was a Mason and Shriner. 

Butch is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Burrell Dixon; daughter, Vicki Lynn Carraway; granddaughter, Erin Nicole Carraway and sister, Martha Dixon Morris-Hoffman.
