Columbia, South Carolina. Lorraine A. Gullifer (nee Ardizoni) passed away September 4, 2020. Born, December 19, 1924 in Agawam, Massachusetts to the late Victor and Julia Sherpa Ardizoni, she married her junior high school sweetheart Wallace I Gullifer on April 12, 1947.
Memorial Service will be held St. John Neumann Catholic Church on September 17, 2020 at noon, and will be streamed live. Burial Services will be conducted at a later date at Fort Jackson Veterans Cemetery and she will be interred alongside her husband Wallace I. Gullifer.
She enjoyed her work as a private secretary at Strathmore Paper Company in Springfield Mass. She opted to be a stay-at-home mom after the birth of her first child, Holly, and cherished her role as mother and mentor for her children. She was an avid and accomplished golfer, gardener and bridge player.
She is survived by her daughter Holly Bunting of Oxford OH, son David Gullifer of San Diego CA, son Michael Gullifer and daughter-in-law Robin Gullifer of Duxbury VT. Five Grandchildren; Jared Bunting of Oxford OH, Alyssa Campbell of Orlando FL, Gregory Bunting of New Mexico, Alison Gullifer, US Navy and Ryan Brosnan, US Army, nieces Norma Rickman and Deborah Hutton, nephew John Regnier, and many wonderful friends. She is pre-deceased by her husband Wallace I Gullifer, her sisters Margaret Ardizoni and Victoria Regnier, and her son-in-law William Bunting.
