Mr. Johnny Taylor affectionately known as (Johnny boy) was born on April 07, 1950 in Gadsden S.C. He was the oldest child born to Anthony and Eartha Mae Taylor. He departed this earthly life on friday January 08, 2021. Johnny was educated at Webber School in Eastover S.C. He was Baptized at an early age at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Gadsden S.C., and was a member of First Nazareth Baptist Church Columbia SC. He also attended Gunter's Chapel Baptist Church for many years with his mother. He met and married his wife Betty J. Taylor in 1973. Johnny was employed with the Pacific Mill in columbia SC where he retired. he also worked part-time at Southern Bell and the University of SC in the maintenance department. Johnny enjoyed spending time with his family, going to the race track in Darlington SC, working on cars and going to flea markets. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents Anthony Taylor and Eartha Mae Taylor, his maternal grandmother Ora Mae Rykard, Paternal grandfather Shelton Byrd, grandson Davaris (2Key) Tramaine White, brother Mervin Kenneth Taylor, and Sister Margaret Taylor Goodwin. • Mr. Taylor leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife Betty J. Taylor, three daughters, Kutina White, Karen (Stephon) Roberts and Vickie (Charles) Brevard, one son Ricky (Glenda) Halter, four sisters, Patricia (Rev Mosley) Mosley, Evangelist Jacqueline Taylor Spann, Edna (Rufus) Mosley, and Evelyn Johnson, five brothers Marvin Keith (Lorraine) Taylor, Leon Jefferson (Joann) Taylor, Jerome Taylor, Sgt Edward Joe(Tara) Taylor, Richard (Carol) Cunningham.10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren a special aunt Ruth Ann Burden and a host of nieces, nephews.
