Donald U. Buck

A Service to celebrate the life of Donald Udeall Buck, 81, of Blythewood will be held Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at 1 PM in the chapel of Kornegay & Moseley with Pastor Eric Estep officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Fort Jackson National Cemetery with full military honors. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Carolina Children’s  Home. 
Mr. Buck passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018. He was born in Laplata, MO and was the son of the late Mack and Willie Bell Cussick Buck. Mr. Buck retired after 22 years of service in the US Army as a Sargent First Class. He served in Korea and Vietnam where he was awarded the Bronze Star and also had been stationed in Germany, France, Virginia, Washington, Georgia, Hawaii, Kentucky and Columbia, SC. After his military retirement in 1977, Mr. Buck went to work for the Richland County Public Works and retired in 2000. Mr. Buck was a life member and former commander of the Lake Wateree VFW post and a life member of Pontiac Masonic Lodge. 
Mr. Buck is survived by his loving wife, Mima Louise Schultz Buck; children, Victoria Louise (David) Bates, Kathy Ann (Bubba) Louthian, Michael Roy (Patsy) Buck and Jeffrey Allen (Shannon) Buck; daughter in law, Gayle Phipps Buck; grandchildren, Christa and Allen Louthian and Connor and Coby Buck; brother, Charles Edward Buck. Mr. Buck was preceded in death by his son, Donald Roger Buck and siblings, Ethel Bell Fogleman, Lee Roy Buck and  Arthur Buck.
