Dale Cordell McPherson

Ms. Dale Cordell McPherson of Columbia died May 11, 2019. Dale was born in Long Beach, California on Nov. 10, 1942. She was the oldest child of Mary Ann and Clarence Charles (Bud) McPherson. Dale was predeceased by both of her parents. She is survived by her sister Lynn Slack (Ron) and her brother Doug McPherson (Deborah). Dale is also survived by three nieces and one nephew: Michael Sammons (Lisa); Holly Griffith (Jeff); Heather McPherson; and Erin Bisca (Tommy). Dale worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigations from 1961 to 1998 and for the SC Department of Disabilities and Special Needs from 1998 until the time of her death. Being the daughter of a US Air Force officer and pilot, Dale traveled the world thus gaining many wonderful experiences and education. Dale was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She was the most generous person you could possibly meet. Dale had an unbounded love of animals. She supported many animal organizations with large donations throughout her adult life. Dale was a wonderful person who will be greatly missed by her family and friends. No funeral service will be held following cremation according to her wishes.
