William Eli Hickson, age 8, passed away on March 9, 2015.
William was born on August 17, 2006 to Stan and Alice-Lyle Hickson. A delightful child who brought much joy to his family and those who knew him, William was known for his cheerful smile. He loved music and could warm a heart with his laughter.
William is survived by his parents, Stan and Alice-Lyle; his brother, Davis; his sister, Julia; his paternal grandparents, Ed Hickson and Agnes Edwards of Sumter, SC; and his maternal grandparents, Nancy Dorrier of Charlotte, NC, and Phillip and Pam Hazel of Statesville, NC; and Mervil Paylor of Davidson, NC; and his uncles and aunts, Thomas Hazel and Stephanie Glaser of Davidson, NC, and Ron and Jill Hickson of Charleston, SC; and his cousins, Phillip Hazel, Alexander Hazel, and Summer Hickson.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Kornegay & Moseley. Visitation will be held at Northeast Presbyterian Church in Columbia, SC at 1:00 pm on March 14, 2015, followed by a memorial service at 2 pm.
The family would like to thank all the caregivers who have graciously and lovingly cared for William throughout his life.
