Ken Harrison

Alvin Kenneth Harrison- 67, of Columbia, was born in Madison, IN on Jan. 8, 1948. He graduated from Madison Consolidated High School in 1966. He was known to family and friends as “Ken” or “Kenny”. Mr. Harrison passed away peacefully on Sept. 21, 2015 unexpectedly at Palmetto Richland Hospital surrounded by family. He is survived by his devoted wife of over 41 years, Kathy H, Harrison (Columbia, SC), 2 sisters, Bonnie Hopper (Gary) of Madison, IN, Amanda Harrison of Charlestown, IN, 5 children, Harold Wayne Sowell (Holly) of Pageland, SC), Paula Taylor of West Columbia, Kenneth Clinton Harrison (Cherlyn) of Pekin, Ind., Chris J. Harrison (Rita) of Gaston, SC, and Kathy Lenore Harrison Aldrich (Nathan) of Elgin. He has 17 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Ken Harrison was predeceased in death by his youngest sister Judy Thornton (2004) and his mother, Pauline J. Brandon (2010). Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 pm at Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Kornegay& Moseley, 4645 Hard Scrabble Road Columbia, SC 29229.
