George Curry

 
George W. Curry, 93, of Columbia, SC passed away July 18, 2017 at his home.  He was born and raised in Wellsville, Ohio, the son of the late Ira Curry and Hannah Shoub.  George served in WWII in the Pacific Theater as Army Medical Corpsman, in New Guinea and the Philippines. He was a Sales manager at Newell Central Service for 22 years until his retirement in 1989.
George is survived by his wife of 70 years, Evelyn Robinson Curry; daughter, Vickie (Ronald) Wyand; sons, Chris (Debbie) Curry and Greg (Michelle) Curry; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday July 29, 2017 in the chapel of Kornegay & Moseley.
