SGM (Ret) Fredrick Jackson 56, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at Warrior Walk Dorn VA Medical Center, Columbia, SC.
He was a loving, caring and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and Soldier. He was a man of strength and value, who had a heart of gold. He was an unselfish man with true standards and was always there when needed for his family, friends and Soldiers. He spoke his mind with wisdom and truth.
Fredrick had a passion for animals (especially chickens), gardening, and children.
He graduated from Jackson High School, Jackson Alabama May 1982, entered into the military 1983 and retired 2013, graduated from Empire College 2006 with a Bachelors in Business Administration and obtained a Masters in Leadership and Management from Webster University 2012. He was attending Webster University Masters Program at the time of his death. He joined the Masonic Lodge at Fort Benning, GA 1994. A few of his many awards were Drill Sgt of the Quarter, 25th Infantry Division (Light) “Master” is Masters Fitness Caterory, 1992 Drill Sergeant Badge for permanent wear and numerous other awards.
He entered into holy matrimony December 27, 1983 to Violet Christine Evans, to this union they were blessed with two children Allison (Great Britain) and Jonathan (Tress) Soul Korea. He leaves to cherish his memories three grandchildren (Arayna, Jacuary and Jonathan Jr.), four siblings Theresa Martin, GA, Andrew (Vickie), Kleene, TX, Aaron Jackson Jr., Atlanta, GA, special nephew Eugene Sneed, Mobile, AL, Goddaughter Akira Mae Scott, Columbia, SC, numerous nieces, nephews, friends, relatives and devoted Soldiers. A service to celebrate his life will be held 11:00 am Friday January 26, 2018 at Agape Worship Center. The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 11:00 am at the church. Burial will follow the service at Fort Jackson National Cemetery with full military honors.
