Elvira (Vida) Mazeika Toomey of Columbia passed away Saturday October 3, 2015 in Lexington Medical Center. She was born in Peru and resided one year in New York before moving to Marlboro and Sayerville, NJ where she lived for forty years. Vida was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church.
Vida is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Toomey; daughter, Erlinda (Brendan) Doherty; son, Anthony (Meghan) Mazeika; sisters, Maricucha and Mary; brothers, Julio and Walter; brother in law, Walter and sisters in law, Cecelia and Ana.
A funeral service for Vida will be held at 10:30 am Friday October 16, 2015 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow the service at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday October 15, 2015 at Kornegay & Moseley.
