A memorial service to celebrate the life of Dolly Richerson Ulness will be held at 2pm on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Vive Church, 2630 Clemson Rd, Columbia. The family will receive friends following the service at the church and at other times at the home, 332 Bluehorse Circle, Elgin, SC 29045. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family, C/O Kornegay & Moseley Funeral Home, 4645 Hard Scrabble Rd, Columbia, SC 29229.
Mrs. Ulness passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at the age of 61. Born in Copperas Cove, TX she was the daughter of the late Richard Lee Richerson and Marie Brookshire Richerson, and widow of Duane Ulness. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a longtime manager of Toys 'R Us at Columbia mall.
She is survived by her daughters, Duana Ulness and Diana Ulness Prewitt; sisters, Alice Vertrees and Laura Nelson; brother, Brook Richerson; grandchildren, Robert Lucero, Dakota Lucero, Chyanne Lucero, Braily Prewitt, Brianna Prewitt, and Emily McConnell; great-grandchildren, Noah Lucero and Travis Lucero. Dolly was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Richerson.
