Beryl Clarke

Beryl Clarke born March 1, 1932 in  Paradise Guyana.  She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Roberts) Clarke.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Henry Richmond; two brothers, Theo and William Clarke, three sisters, Jane Marcus, Nora Stephen and Elaine Heyligar.

At the age of 84, God whispered into Beryl's ear on November 19, 2016, at Providence Hospital, Columbia, South Carolina. It was the moment she gave her family and friends a beautiful smile and made her transition to live forever with our heavenly Father. 

Beryl or "Jem" as she was called worked as a nurse, she loved and cared for many. She loved to dance, travel, walk and minister to others . Beryl was a spectacular dresser and pride herself on being impeccable. Beryl never knew a stranger and her home was open to all.

In 1967, Beryl migrated to the United States and resided in Brooklyn, New York. A devout Christan she gave her life to Christ in the 1980's and became a member of God's Battalion of Prayer in East Flatbush, Brookyln, New York. She had a strong and enduring faith in the Lord, embracing and abiding in His word everyday of her life. Her loving precious spirit will be recalled by many.  Beryl relocated to Columbia, South Carolina where she lived until the final days of her life.  She attended Turner Memorial AME Church in West Columbia, South Carolina.  

She leaves precious memories for her family to cherish: two sisters, Dorothy Dillion, Violet Fraser, one brother Burchell Clarke.

Son in laws: David Lawrence and Dennis October

Grandchildren: Shondell, Delon, Marlon, Daniel, Eliezer, Raymond, Clifton, Shriene, Yolanda, Barbara, Jasmaine, Tavares, Frank Jr., Frances, Tiffaney, Aaron, Glory, Maranda, Melissa, Abiola, Precious, Paris, Pryce, Persephone, Phashard and over 43 other grandchildren in Guyana and other parts of the world. 

Grandson in law: Bernard Henry ( Abiola) 
Granddaughter in law: Cynthia Harry ( Raymond) 

Great Grandchildren: Zoriah, Raymond Jr., Ethan, Eva, Justin, Nicole, Ajuwa, Lisa, Shontay, Delon Jr., Delina, Toya, Kenesha, Jade, Malaya, Maya and many other great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren all over the world. 

Nieces and Nephews: Emelda, Ruth, Verna, Esther, Ingrid, Marian, Carol, Peggy, Yonette, Cheryl, Wilton, Emmanuel, Phillip, David, Leon, Pepe and Roy.
